SNAPPY CHEESE STRAWS
This is a great Holiday/Party/Any-kind-of-day recipe! It's gluten-free and dairy-full. A delicious bite of richness, you'll want to eat it all yourself. But, this is the time of giving, so share the goodness.
Ingredients:
1 pound of sharp chedder cheese, shredded
13/4 cups gluten free flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne (or more to taste)
1/4 pound butter
We recommend all ingredients be Organic to avoid any added toxins.
Instructions:
Finely grate the cheese; combine with other ingredients and beat until creamy. Add about a tablespoon of water to form a firm, elastic dough. Divide dough in half. Roll each section 1/4" thick. Cut into strips about 6" x 3/8" . Twist. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Chill in freezer for 15 minutes or longer to maintain shape. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 5-6 dozen cheese straws.
